Emily Vulcano, MA, MSW,SWC (she/her/hers)

(Contract Therapist)

Are you struggling with perfectionism? Feeling burnt out? Overwhelmed? Anxious?

Finding our place in the world can feel overwhelming, and it is easy to fall into the comparison trap of what the people around us are doing. Sometimes we lose sight of our personal compass and, as a result, begin to feel lost or ‘behind.’ These emotions are normal and more common than you may think - and you do not have to go through this alone.

I love to support young professionals and college/graduate students through life's stressors, traumas, and transitions.

I have an MA in School Psychology and a Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Denver. I have over three years of experience working in the school system at both the high school and higher education levels, with additional experience supporting young professionals active in their fields. My comprehensive knowledge of the education system, its pressures and pitfalls, and my in-depth social work education create a unique lens I use to inform my practice.

Beginning therapy can be intimidating, so finding a therapist who is the right match is important. I believe you and I are equal partners in this journey - we are in this together. I would love to meet with you to get to know each other a bit and answer any questions you may have - please reach out to schedule a time for a free consultation!

I recognize my privilege as a White, cis, straight woman and clinician and dedicate myself to remaining continuously conscious and educated on these identities.

I sincerely believe in providing a non-judgmental space and am dedicated to anti-oppressive, anti-racist, body-positive, sex-positive, and gender-affirming practices. I respect every client who comes to me and intentionally work to foster a space where you can feel safe and seen.

Accessibility to therapy is a value of mine. If you are interested in having me as your therapist, but I do not take your insurance, or the session fee is not reasonably affordable, please reach out! I’d love to make it work for you. I am also currently in network with Kaiser.
