About Me
Hi! My name is Kelly Miller, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over twenty years of experience supporting children, adolescents, and adults in community mental health and educational settings. I earned my Master of Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis in 2006 and my B.A. in Political Science from Boston University in 2000. I currently work part-time as a social worker in Jeffco Schools and am thrilled to be joining the Heart Wild community during the remainder of the week.
Philosophy
I approach therapy with warmth, authenticity, and deep respect for each person’s lived experience. My work is grounded in strengths-based and trauma-informed approaches, with a gentle dose of humor and joy when it feels supportive and authentic. I strive to create a safe, collaborative, and nonjudgmental space where we can work together to better understand and navigate the stressors that may be getting in the way of the life you want to live.
I believe therapy is most effective when we build on what’s already strong while also developing practical, meaningful tools aligned with your goals and values. Above all, I aim to honor each person’s resilience, humanity, and capacity for growth—walking alongside you with care, curiosity, and compassion as you move toward lasting and meaningful change.
Personal
Outside of my professional work, I enjoy exploring new corners of the world, reading, and savoring slow weekends with my family. I am a committed lifelong learner who values ongoing personal growth and the lessons that unfold throughout life’s journey.
